Summer Sunset Guided Walk
The Friends of Bold Park Bushland guides will be leading a series of free sunset walks over summer to take advantage of the cooler part of the day and to look for some of the wildlife that are active as dusk approaches.
Experience the magic of summer evenings in Bold Park, when the bush comes alive as day turns to night. As the heat fades, birds settle in for the evening, insects fill the air with sound, and quendas emerge to forage beneath the trees. Watch as the setting sun makes the candlestick banksias glow, and keep an eye out for micro-bats beginning their nightly flights.
This guided walk starts from the WA Ecology Centre carpark on Perry Lakes Drive. Wear suitable shoes for walking and bring a torch to light the path after sunset. No need to register, just be at the meeting point when the walk starts. Walks will be cancelled if a severe fire danger warning is in place.
