An Introduction to Native Bees of WA
Join the Friends of Bold Park Bushland at their next Bold Ideas talk as Terry Houston, research associate at the WA Museum, presents 'A general introduction to native bees of WA'
This is a rescheduled talk after the original date in June had to be deferred due to technical issues on the night.
Most people are familiar with the European Honeybees that are common in our gardens, but have you ever seen a native bee? There are approximately 800 species of native bees in WA, ranging in size from 3mm to almost an inch, and coming in a wide variety of colours. Most are solitary and rarely sting, and all are important pollinators, including our food crops and garden plants.
Find out the buzz about these local beauties on Wednesday 18th November at 6.30pm at the WA Ecology Centre in Bold Park.
All are welcome to attend. Tea, coffee, and a light supper will be provided afterwards. There is no fee to attend, but a gold coin donation would be appreciated.
