A research burn is planned for a 3-hectare site in Bold Park on a selected day in May 2026, pending suitable weather conditions. This burn, led by Kings Park scientists, is part of a long-term research project to assess the best methods of managing bushfire risk and conserving biodiversity in urban bushlands.
